PROVIDING QCSPC SOFTWARE FOR ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING COMPANIES
In the electronics industry, a defect rate of just 0.1% can result in thousands of defective products. Manufacturers of PCBs, device casings, and connectors must employ statistical quality control (SQC/SPC) to meet the stringent requirements of FDI clients.
We have successfully implemented QCSPC software at numerous electronics factories in Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and Hai Phong.
Specific characteristics of electronics manufacturing companies:
Mixed processes: Plastic injection molding for casings, SMT (Surface Mount Technology) component placement, and manual assembly.
Micro-components: Resistors, capacitors, and ICs—with measurement tolerances in the micrometer range.
Diverse defects: Soldering issues, missing components, cosmetic defects on plastic casings, and functional test failures.
How did QCSPC provide a solution?
For the SMT area: Collected data on component placement defect rates, generated P-charts based on material reels, and issued alerts for worn-out suction nozzles.
For the plastic injection area: Controlled casing dimensions (clips, screw holes) using Xbar-R charts to ensure a precise fit with the PCB.
For the assembly & testing area: Logged PASS/FAIL functional test results, automatically calculated defect rates, and enabled traceability of defects to specific shifts and production lines.
Results:
Reduced SMT defect rates from 250 ppm to under 50 ppm; cut the time required to generate quality reports for Japanese clients from 4 hours to 5 minutes; and achieved IATF & ISO 9001 certification on the first attempt. We have provided QCSPC services across a full range of sectors—including precision machining, plastic molding for automotive, motorcycle, and printer components, medical devices, and electronics.
